The discharge of medicines in our waste water system is an increasing problem. If these rests end up in the environment it is an even bigger problem. Fishes and amphibians have already been find with genital anomalies. The solution for this should be found at the source, rather than at the waste water treatment facilities.
The question is, how the smallest particles can be filtered from the water and how we keep our drinking water and environment free of medicine residues? In Sneek, Friesland, several companies are testing their technologies on the waste water of the local hospital.

At the end of the afternoon, all participants of all the tours will meet in Sneek, where we will start a network reception on a nice boat. Grap this chance to see some of the beautiful surroundings of Sneek and the Sneek lake. After this ‘after-party’ you will be returned to the WTC by coach.
